After years of backpacking to Europe, following the gospel of Rick Steves, my back and that i determined to do a rolling suitcase.
Pros: Weight (it's light), space (plenty of it), easy use (pulls sort of a dream), Construction (returned unscathed, 'cept of the puny ""Eagle Creek"" plastic logo), Ergonomically correct (sits up and lays flat, with smart handles in the least ends)
Cons: space (I tended to overpack), Noise (now i am one in every of those idiots pulling their suitcase down the cobblestone alley at 6:00 am... clickity-clack, clickity-clack...), Too huge to hold on (this is really a blessing - no ""will there be enough space within the overhead"" anxiety when boarding the plane), Pockets (you get one huge outside pocket for your laundry... a further map pocket would be nice).
Would i like to recommend it... Absolutely. My back will conjointly.
